Zipp's 303 S Series Tubeless for disc brakes offers today's cyclists the versatility they demand and the speed they seek. Appealing to its great victories in the spring classics, these 303 wheels also retain their rim height of 45 mm, ideal in all conditions - but they get a significantly larger jaw width to improve the qualities and running characteristics of the wheels in almost every measurable way. Road bikes today are much more versatile than ever before. Here, the 303 S offers a completely new rim profile and design to further enhance rider performance on this genre of wheel. These wheels are made for tubeless use and with disc brakes, and therefore allow the use of wide tires with low air pressure - and at racing speeds on and off paved roads. The 303 S is one of our lightest wheels and in the sense of best aerodynamics fpr 28 mm tires optimized. However, it also copes with wide Grabel tires up to 50 mm. The 303 S uses design approaches from the higher-quality 303 Firecrest Tubeless for disc brakes, so he is more efficient and thus faster on the road. This is achieved by reducing the following factors: aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, fatigue and weight. The innovation responsible for this is the design of the 303-S series rim. The profile is as high 45 mm as its predecessor, the 302 for disc brakes. The new rim is 2 mm wider on the outside, namely 27 mm, and the rim bed is a full 7 mm wider at 23 mm. The rim lpatform is fastest with 28 mm tires. Due to its width, the rim optimizes the shape of the tire, allowing for lower air pressure. This helps reduce rolling resistance and makes riding more comfortable. The result of all this is a power saving of 10 watts compared to top-of-the-line competitive wheels at 40 km/h on a flat road with 28-mm tires, according to internal tests at Zipp. These groundbreaking wheels also come with brand new decals that stand out from the peloton in a very positive way - and at an attractive price, too.
