This ultra-fast chain has been optimized for all 12-speed drivetrains and is compatible with all 12-speed groupsets, including SRAM Red and Force AXS.

With CeramicSpeed UFO Racing Chains you can save between 2-5 watts over a distance of 600 km/370 miles. Apply CeramicSpeed UFO Drip after 600 km to maintain the optimization of the chain over its entire service life.

Technical data
CeramicSpeed uses chains from high-quality brands to which an optimization treatment is applied. The CeramicSpeed UFO chains go through a multi-step process that includes polishing, cleaning and the application of two layers of treatment to obtain the most efficient chain. The UltraFast optimization process is not very technical, but very time consuming.

The wax mixture used for the optimization of the ultra-fast chains was determined through intensive testing to find the fastest base. The base was then optimized to achieve the lowest friction values on the test equipment. After further testing and different ratios of additives to the base, the most efficient optimization formula was determined. CeramicSpeed took the original formula of the UltraFast optimization process and added a number of advancements to the traditional treatment to achieve better results.

CeramicSpeed's UFO chain is a racing chain designed to deliver unparalleled performance, delivering optimum performance for around 600km/370 miles or possibly more in clean and dry conditions. After that, the watts saved will begin to diminish, yet your used chain will still show signs of optimization and perform better than a normal chain. Maintaining and oiling the used chain with a wax-based lubricant with Teflon® will extend the life of your chain, save less watts than optimized, but still be above the level of a new standard chain. CeramicSpeed recommends the use of UFO Drip Chain Coating for maintenance interventions.

The optimization process
Optimizing a CeramicSpeed UFO chain is a multi-step process that begins with a polishing process of the sliding surfaces of the links, which removes friction-generating surfaces such as roughness and manufacturing defects. The chain is then cleaned to completely remove the inefficient factory lubricant and friction-generating contaminants introduced during the manufacturing process. In the next steps, the chain must be infused with the optimizing compound at optimal temperatures. In a final step, Teflon® powder is applied to the chain. The entire process allows the sliding surfaces of an ultra-fast CeramicSpeed UFO chain to have different layers of lubrication that work together as a system to ensure the ultimate efficiency of the chain.
