EKAR is the lightest and most reliable gravel groupset in the world. The EKAR 13-speed groupset from Campagnolo, named after the EKAR mountain, is not a conventional groupset. With a wide range of gravel-specific combinations and no compromises, EKAR is designed from the ground up to give you optimum performance, the best riding experience and maximum reliability for your gravel, all-road and endurance trails on the toughest surfaces you face and where you want to challenge yourself.
From the very beginning, our engineers and design team tested and pursued the idea of a 1x system and considered it the most suitable system for gravel, taking on the challenge of creating the lightest, most efficient and precise drivetrain system for this type of use: the EKAR groupset.
There is an extensive product range of ratios with different gradations, designed for an optimal cadence at all times, and a suitable selection of gear combinations to suit the different applications within the gravel discipline. This 1x drivetrain offers maximum efficiency, no unnecessary overlapping of gear ratios, an overall lightweight system (less than 2.4 kg) and optimum chain tension at all times. The progressive cadence allows 1-tooth jumps for the first 6 lower sprockets and larger jumps for the upper sprockets to adapt optimally to any route.
The EKAR combines the best of the proven braking performance of Campagnolo hydraulic disc brakes and the well-known Ergopower brake lever technology, now all optimized for gravel use. With the careful selection of materials for an optimal balance between strength, durability and light weight, the EKAR groupset offers precise control and reliable performance in any gravel terrain: Ekar is the lightest gravel groupset in the world: reliable and powerful.
