Description
The "Shamal" project has always been a future-oriented challenge for Campagnolo. Launched in 1992, it was the first complete wheel with a high profile, aerodynamic design that was absolutely revolutionary at the time and was immediately successful.

The innovative aspect of this "Dual Profile" wheel lies in its construction: a modified modular profile that was perfected in the wind tunnel and road tests and, in combination with differentiated hub flanges, allows the use of shorter spokes. This improves the overall stiffness without the cyclist having to sacrifice comfort when pedaling.

As with the previous models, the new Shamal "Dual Profile" also uses a fiber with a C-LUX finish. This ensures optimum riding characteristics on the road in all conditions, even with wide tires, which means that the bike can also be used on gravel.

Thanks to the special features of the new Campagnolo Shamal with 2-way fit system, the cyclist can choose between classic clincher and tubeless tires, whereby the use of tubeless tires is made possible by the drill-less upper rim bridge, which eliminates the need for sealing tape.

The spokes are arranged according to the G3 spoking pattern typical of Campagnolo. This patented system guarantees the cyclist a perfect balance of tension and optimum stiffness for the transmission of the power generated by the pedals.

The smooth running of the new Campagnolo Shamal is ensured by aluminum hubs with plain and conical bearing systems, which also allow easy maintenance of the bearings. Compared to the previous model, the new materials ensure a weight saving of more than a hundred grams, resulting in a weight of 1,480 grams.

The C23 rim is perfect for tires from 28 mm and makes this wheel a complete all-rounder/road rim.
